Welcome to our site!

We live in Durango, Colorado.  A beautiful Colorado mountain town.  Durango is the home of  The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad,  Fort Lewis College, over 14,000 people, and closeby is Mesa Verde National Park.

About us

We are  a happily married couple and we love camping!!!  We changed from a 32 foot fifth wheel and a pop-up camper into the Shadow Cruiser Fun Finder T-160, which is a 2003 model 16 foot fiberglass sided, single axle travel trailer.

Why a T-160?

We like to camp in the national forest and on public lands in the deserts of the American Southwest. The T-160 is just the perfect size for these out of the way places. It also is one of the few trailers that could be towed by our Ford Ranger pickup truck.  We have since replaced our Ford Ranger with a 4.7L Dodge Dakota Quad Cab for more room for kids and more power in high altitude.

Other Features

We choose fiberglass siding because we like the looks of it.  The other features we like are the furnace, nice kitchen, large dinnette that converts into a queen size bed, three other bunks for a total sleeping capacity of 5 persons.  We found the T-160 to be the best built trailer in it's class, as well as the lightest. It also had the highest quality of workmanship compared to the competition

Modifications we have done

We have made some major and minor modifications to our T-160.  The major ones are relocating the battery and adding a second battery, changing the faucet spout on the kitchen faucet, adding sliding basket shelves in the coat closet and adding a converter to run the refridgerator while going down the road.  We also added an access baggage door to better utilize the storage space under the dinette seat. The many mods that we have done can be seen by clicking on the items in the list at the left of this page.
